Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Aposteli (“we,” “us,” or “the platform”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Services”).
Information you provide
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, name, username, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier from that provider and, where available, your name and email. You may add optional profile details such as a bio, profile photo, and cover image.
Content you create. We store the content you share, including posts, comments, attached Scripture, uploaded images and media, reactions, bookmarks, follows, and any reports you submit.
AI chat. When you use the in-app AI assistant, we store your conversations and messages so the assistant can respond and keep context.
Information collected automatically
Device and technical data. We collect device and app information (such as device type, platform, app version, and a device installation identifier), a push notification token if you enable notifications, session information needed to keep you signed in, and server and diagnostic logs, including your IP address, used for security and troubleshooting.
Activity data. We record limited information about how you use the app — such as content you view, open, or search for, and games you play — to operate, secure, and improve the Services. This activity data is kept in our own systems and is tied to identifiers and counts rather than the contents of what you write.
How we use information
To create and secure your account, operate and improve the Services, personalize your experience, deliver notifications, maintain safety and moderation, communicate with you (such as sending verification codes), and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information only when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.
Content you choose to make public, such as your posts and profile details, is visible to others by design.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app. When you do, we immediately remove or anonymize your personal information and keep your account in a recoverable state for a limited grace period (currently 30 days) before permanently deleting it. Some content may be retained in de-identified form, and we may retain limited information where required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or contact us for help.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
